Day by Day Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival In Rwanda And Transfer To The Volcanoes.

Upon your arrival at the airport, your guide will pick you and embark on your journey to the volcanoes national park. Along your way, you will get to see the beautiful rolling hills of Rwanda the beautiful land scapes and the green vegetation that will not leave you the same. As soon as you reach, you will be welcomed and directed to the lodge where to spend an overnight. You will have dinner and then rest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking.

After your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to the park headquarters to first have a briefing about the rules and the regulations of trekking the gorillas. The trekking will start at 8 am in the jungle and will last for over 1 to 8 hours. You will be divided into groups of 8 members who will then enter into the jungle to start the trekking. Each member will be allocated a gorilla family to trek. Once you find the gorillas, you are given over an hour to stay with them as you are having fun. From there you can get back to the lodge, have your lunch and then prepare for an evening community walk where you will meet the local people perform there traditional dances. From there you will get back to the lodge have dinner and then rest.

Day 3: Relax At Lake Kivu.

After taking your morning coffee, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to lake kivu. This is an interesting lake with inland seas, which attracts people for swimming, boat cruising and so on. This is an amazing place to visit for your relaxation after the trekking of gorillas. You will then get to the lodge have lunch and then get back for boat ride where you will get to see a number of animals such as the elephants, the lions, the leopards and some bird species. You will get back to the lodge, have dinner and rest.

Day4: Transfer To Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Have your early morning tea and then transfer to nyungwe forest national park. Along your way, you will have an enroute lunch and you will also get to see a number of animals such as the chimpanzees, the red tailed monkeys, the black and white colobus monkeys to mention but a few. You will continue with your journey and with in a few hours, you will be arriving at the park. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed and directed to the lodge where to have an over night.You will get dinner, refresh and then rest.

Day5: Chimpanzee Trekking In Nyungwe Forest.

After getting your morning tea, your guide will pick you up and then he will transfer you to the park headquarters where the trekking starts from with a briefing. From there, you will be divided into groups of 8 and each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek. You will enter and start the trekking. Once you get the gorilla families, you will be allowed to stay with them for over an hour.
From there, you will get to the lodge, have lunch and then get the park for an afternoon bird watching session where you will get to see a number of birds such as the blue Turaco, the colobus monkeys and so on. You will then get to the lodge, have dinner and then relax.

Day 6: Kigali City Tour, Visit Genocide Memorial Center.

Immediately after having your morning breakfast, your guide will pick you up and then transfer you to kigali for a city tour. During this city tour, you will get to see a number of attractions such as the museums, the genocide memorial center and so on. You will then return to the hotel, have your lunch and then have a relaxed evening. Have dinner and then rest.

Day 7: Departure To Kigali.

Since this is the last day of your trip, you will wake up, have your break fast, pack your items and then your guide will pick you to transfer you to the kigali airport for departure. This marks the end of your trip.

The trip will start from Kigali International Airport to Volcanoes National Park to Lake kivu to Nyungwe National Park to Genocide Memorial and you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport.
